Eileen Hillman is a development professional with more than twenty years’ experience providing strategic counsel and compelling content to nonprofit organizations seeking to advance their missions, raise funds and plan for future success.

In working with a variety of nonprofit organizations over the years, Eileen has gained expertise in development communications including writing cases for support, mission statements, grant proposals, campaign planning studies and strategic plans. Eileen served as interim development director at the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, creating a development plan, directing the fundraising programs and writing grants. Eileen also provided comprehensive development consulting and grant writing services for Philadelphia Academies, Inc. In an ongoing engagement with the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children, Eileen provides development counsel and implements the foundation grant process from prospect identification to reporting.

In her work with Schultz & Williams, Eileen has written a variety of materials for many zoos, cultural organizations, educational institutions and healthcare systems. Recent client engagements include Baton Rouge Zoo (master plan), Jackson Zoo (relocation study), Lenape Valley Foundation (strategic development plan), Mote Aquarium (business plan), Reid Park Zoo (business plan). and Schuylkill River Heritage Area (management action plan). Eileen wrote vision statements for Bronx Zoo, Jackson Zoo and Red Rock Conservation Center among others.

In all these roles, Eileen takes great enjoyment in helping nonprofit organizations tell their stories and define their goals with clear and convincing narratives that demonstrate their worthiness for support. Having majored in English at the University of Pennsylvania, Eileen has been fortunate to build on that strong foundation, forging a career doing something she loves for organizations that truly make a difference in the world.
