As a member of the Schultz & Williams Direct Response team, David focuses his efforts on assigned projects from his base in Washington, D.C.

Across 20 years of professional work, David’s fundraising experience is deep and includes major gifts, donor relations, planned giving and multiple aspects of direct response. He has a strong understanding of how each component of a thriving program works in concert for the best results. His career has allowed him to develop a powerful understanding of the donor cycle and the necessity of healthy relationships, whether executed through mass direct response communications or a more personal touch suitable for higher level giving.

Over the past ten years, David held positions with increasing levels of responsibility and executive functions, which led to raising vital unrestricted giving support. Through direct mail, online, outbound phone solicitation, and digital strategies, he drove each organization to its highest-ever revenue achievement in unrestricted giving.

Before joining Schultz & Williams, David has led fundraising efforts in health care, higher education, public media and social justice.

David achieved his bachelor’s degree in history from Bethany College.
