Carol Forte brings to Schultz & Williams more than 25 years of development experience at institutions engaged in higher education, healthcare and the arts. Her areas of expertise include major gifts and grants, capital campaigns, planned giving, corporate and foundation support, and annual giving.

Over a seven-year career at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Carol advanced to the role of executive director of development for Penn Medicine Centers and Institutes and was engaged in raising funds for clinical and research activities in a variety of highly specialized medical fields. Working at a senior level in this large, complex organization, she helped translate institutional funding priorities into compelling, donor-focused giving opportunities. Her work also involved identifying appropriate strategies to realize annual goals and support Penn Medicine’s $1 billion capital campaign.

Carol previously worked at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she devised and implemented the organization’s successful $35 million capital campaign for building renovation, exhibition sponsorships, and faculty and student support. She also served as a major gifts officer at Swarthmore College and as director of annual and reunion giving for Bryn Mawr College. In each of these roles, Carol enlisted, trained and built strong relationships with Board and committee members and alumni and parent volunteers.

Since joining Schultz & Williams in 2011, Carol has worked with a wide variety of nonprofit organizations including the National Constitution Center, Mercy Health System, Main Line Health System, Wills Eye Institute, Elwyn Foundation, Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, The Wetlands Institute, Barclay Friends and Providence Animal Center in helping to enhance their fundraising efforts and advance their major gift and capital campaign initiatives.

Carol was a Class of 2002 Fellow with Leadership Philadelphia. She holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Rosemont College.
