Beth Simone has more than 25 years of development experience working for nonprofits. As an independent development and communications consultant, her recent clients include National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association in Seattle, WA, where she oversaw strategic partnerships. In that role, she worked with corporations and foundations nationwide, developing programs to promote their involvement with CASA and creating funding opportunities for the Association’s programs across the country. Other prior clients include an environmental-based foundation, a local NPR station and an international teen youth development organization.

Beth formerly served as the director of development for Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County, RI. She was involved in all facets of their development process—organizing large-scale events, initiating their first major gifts program, as well as and overseeing the annual appeal and corporate and foundation fundraising activities. During her time in this role, Beth grew the development department’s budget by over 75%.

Her previous experience also includes: running the corporate and foundation department for a local Rhode Island zoo; senior development manager at a Chicago-based nonprofit for people with disabilities; and marketing director and editor for an association and for a management consulting and publishing company.

Beth holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Rhode Island and has advanced and mastery certifications from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She also has her Teaching English as a Second Language certificate and frequently volunteers as an ESL teacher for local nonprofits.
