Carol Forte, Senior Consultant –Carol Forte brings to Schultz & Williams over 20 years of development experience at institutions engaged in higher education, healthcare and the arts. Her areas of expertise include major gifts and grants, planned giving, corporate and foundation support, annual giving and capital campaigns.

Over a seven-year career at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Carol advanced to the role of Executive Director of Development for Penn Medicine Centers and Institutes and was engaged in raising funds for clinical and research activities in a variety of highly specialized medical fields. Working at a senior level in this large, complex organization, she helped to translate institutional funding priorities into compelling, donor-focused giving opportunities and define appropriate strategies to realize annual goals as well as support Penn Medicine’s ongoing $1 billion campaign.

Carol has supervised development teams, engaging trustees and other senior volunteers in executing cultivation, solicitation and stewardship initiatives. She also interacted and consulted with development colleagues throughout the University in order to maximize interdisciplinary opportunities. Prior experience at Penn Medicine included participation in the $50 million fundraising campaign for a new Center for Advanced Medicine, Abramson Cancer Center.

Carol previously worked at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she developed and implemented their successful $35 million capital campaign. She also served as a major gifts officer at Swarthmore College and as director of annual and reunion giving for Bryn Mawr College.

Her professional affiliations include Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). She was a Class of 2002 Fellow with Leadership Philadelphia. Carol holds a bachelor’s degree from Rosemont College (PA).
