December 2008– Schultz & Williams (S&W) expands our capacity to keep pace with the continuous growth of our client base and to ensure that we are providing the highest level of professional resources and services to our clients during these tough economic times. We are very pleased to announce several additions to our team who will provide consulting, interim staffing, strategic planning, writing, creative, production and project management services. Schultz & Williams Senior Associate Scott Edward Anderson has more than 16 years of nonprofit management experience, most recently as Vice President for Global Development at Ashoka, a social venture capital organization. Previously, Scott held positions at the Nature Conservancy (TNC) at both state and national levels. He is currently a Senior Fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program, an entrepreneur and author. Senior Associate Matthew Brown has nearly 23 years of experience in communications, fundraising and strategic planning in both the private and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining Schultz & Williams, Matt was the Director of Development for the American Association of Museums and Director of External Affairs at the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF). Throughout his career Matt has written and spoken widely on nonprofit management, communications and fundraising. Matt has also co-produced award-winning public television documentaries with Maryland Public Television, The New Jersey Networks and Great Museums Television Senior Associate Christina Spoegler has 19 years of experience raising institutional funds for capital needs, annual programs and special projects. Her expertise is in raising funds for collections-based institutions, conservation and science-based organizations, educational institutions and other nonprofits. Christina has served as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Rider University, as Director of Development for Moore College of Art and as Senior Director of Institutional Gifts at the Philadelphia Zoo. Consultant Kathy Wagner brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to her work at Schultz & Williams. Her background includes education and interpretive planning and programming, strategic planning, organizational development, grant writing, and program and educational exhibit evaluation for museums and zoos. Prior to her tenure at the Philadelphia Zoo, Kathy taught at an independent school near Philadelphia. Associate Nancy Page joins Schultz & Williams as a grant writer, working with clients to identify and secure support from corporations, foundations and public sources. Nancy worked with S&W previously and has served as Director of Marketing for the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP; Manager of Government Affairs at PECO Energy Company; Manager of PECO’s Marketing Communications; and most recently as Director of Client Services for Bechanan Public Relations in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Project Manager Allison Harris brings six years of nonprofit management experience with her to Schultz & Williams. Prior to joining S&W, Allison worked as Project Manager for the Food Trust, an education and advocacy nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia. Allison has experience in all aspects of project management from drafting proposals, facilitating meetings, monitoring timelines and deliverables, and report writing and presentation. She is a skilled presenter and facilitator and has completed extensive training in focus group moderation. Brooke McDowell, Account Coordinator, joined the S&W Direct team as account coordinator in October 2008. She has experience in both the profit and nonprofit sectors as an advancement associate, market researcher, project consultant and executive assistant. Her responsibilities have included working with independent consultants to develop executive marketing plans and composing analytical and strategic reports to measure the outcome of these plans. She also has experience developing, designing and copywriting for marketing materials including mailers, advertisements, press releases and websites. Brooke has also served on a number of international humanitarian service projects. Catherine Geist, Office Manager, is the newest addition to the S&W team. As Office Manager, she is responsible for managing the administrative duties that allow for the efficient and successful functioning of the office and its staff. She brings with her a strong background in academic research in addition to administrative experience in the areas of property and records management.
