August 2008– Schultz & Williams (S&W) was a proud sponsor of the 2008 Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Washington D.C. Metro Area Chapter (AFP/DC) and the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (DMAW) in late July. Designed to promote the importance of integrating fundraising and direct marketing disciplines to maximize the full potential of nonprofit organizations, this conference is the perfect venue to highlight the Schultz & Williams philosophy we pioneered more than 21 years ago:

Schultz & Williams provides strategic and innovative solutions to the nonprofit sector. Through our integrated development, management and marketing services, we help our clients build strength—and achieve long-term success.

In addition to our support of the conference, a number of Schultz & Williams staff and associates attended and made presentations at educational sessions during the two and a half day event.

How to Get the Most from Your Creative Team, presented by S&W Account Executive Samantha Prestia, was a popular and motivational session that stressed the importance of building and working as a team to successfully execute any direct response campaign. Sam’s presentation underscores how individuals representing many seemingly independent disciplines—marketing, copywriting, graphic design, web development, list management, printing/ production and mail house services—must be integrated into one team in order to best serve our clients and create the most successful direct response campaigns possible. (See Sam's presentation.).

The team approach is more critical today than ever. Multi-channel marketing to raise money, which can include direct mail, e-mail, the use of websites and traditional advertising gives rise to a new era of challenges that only a fully integrated team of professionals can effectively tackle.

"Sam’s presentation is based on the team model we exemplify at Schultz & Williams and clearly demonstrates the extent of our integrated consulting services at the grassroots level," said Jessica Harrington, Vice President, Schultz & Williams Direct.

Founded in 1987, Schultz & Williams is a national consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today S&W works with nonprofits throughout the United States and continues to exemplify its legacy as one of the first firms in the country to combine the principles of development, management and marketing into our consulting services—an approach that proves successful for nearly every client challenge.
