We are proud to work with Eastern State Penitentiary (built in 1829), supporting its mission and important history to our nation. As one of Philadelphia’s most iconic destinations, the organization is also using its historic significance to connect the site to contemporary issues facing today’s prison system and its need for continued reform.

This week the New York Times published an article about the prison, its infamous inmates, its historic role as a global model for incarceration, and now, its ability to be a springboard for public discourse about prison reform.
